Our Digital Technology Tribes, based in Leeds Dock (with flexible working opportunities) are at the heart of our customer service capability, where we innovate, build and maintain Sky.com and our iOS/Android My Sky App - enabling our customers to buy, manage and get help with the products they love. You will be joining a diverse team where the focus is collaboration, doing what's best for the customer and our people and having some fun while we do it.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Support a multi-skilled, multi-discipline Development Team developing various products with a diverse audience. 

-  Foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching the Team to improve the efficiency and quality of delivery, while protecting the team from external distractions, enabling them to work together with reduced interruption. 

-  Promote transparency in processes and outputs - using metrics and insight to drive decision making and create feedback loops. 

-  Build a trusting and safe environment where challenges can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on learning and problem-solving. 

-  Support the proactive development of roadmaps and backlogs with Product Owners & Stakeholders. 

-  Act as a servant-leader, building empowerment, a sense of community, growth and serving others. 

-  Mediate discussion, decision making, and, at times, conflict resolution within Development Teams and the wider organisation, enabling the right conversations to be had at the right time, ensuring everyone can participate and is heard. 


WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

-  Experience in a Scrum Master role within a fast-paced software development environment. 

-  Confidence in diligently applying Agile practices with good knowledge of various methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, XP etc. Experience defining tailored frameworks to suit the needs of the Team and Organisation. 

-  Proficient use of Agile project management software (e.g. JIRA), with a firm grasp on metrics, measurement and estimation frameworks.  

-  A continuous improvement attitude - identifying areas to improve and finding the right time and methods to implement. 

-  Superb coaching and mentoring approach that instils a self-sufficiency mentality. 

-  Outstanding communication and social skills at all levels, with demonstrable ability to influence decisions in a fast-paced commercial environment.
