As a Senior Media Operator, you will contribute to Content Services efficient delivery across live feed ingests, file processing and ingest, content outgest, playout for live Studio and Outside Broadcast productions across a 24-hour period every day, delivering to the requirements of Sky and specific third-party channels.

What you'll do:

* Primarily supporting Sky Racing and specific Sports channels, you will work alongside the production team and gallery staff to identify and provide the best vision for on air.
* Manage studio media servers and relevant asset management systems with precise attention to detail. Use of deletion and retention policies expected alongside sound maintenance of key databases. Liaise closely with key stakeholders to ensure that media is appropriately ingested, archived or deleted within time constraints of a live production environment.
* Use a variety of System UIs, hardware and software including EVS, LSM & IPD, Premiere Pro, Vantage, Aspera, to process content for Sky productions and create files for delivery to OTT, VOD and linear customer platforms.
* Be considered a Studio Operations SME, specifically on EVS LSM & IPD to serve Sky Sports Racing.
* Provide a high level of customer service and excellent client focus - with an emphasis on Sky Sports Racing channel for at least the first 9 months of the role. As with any of our Studio or Outside Broadcast operations, you will be the first line of communication on behalf of Content Services Ingest, delivering against specific requirements of the production we are serving.

What you'll bring:

* A demonstrable ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured TX Critical role
* Excellent organisation skills and clear, effective communication. skills
* A high level of competency in most, if not all, of the many workflows and subject areas we are responsible for.
* Experience within ingest, format transfer, studio playout, outside broadcasts, transmission deadlines, file transfers and transcoding, removable media handling (ingest and outgest), Media Asset Management systems and content tracking are a must.
* You need to be able to actively adapt to change, staying ahead of technological advances to continue the path of learning and aid the continuing progression of the department as a whole
* You will have a pro-active approach to the role and be able to show evidence of determination and desire to succeed. You should be helpful, approachable, and positive with a keen eye for detail and good general technical knowledge.
