Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a specialist education organisation in the recruitment of an HR Assistant.

Working closely with the Managing Directors and Business Managers, you will be responsible for the HR Department's administrative tasks, communications, and correspondence and provides general support. This role involves, but is not limited to a wide variety of areas of administrative responsibility and support, such as: new starters, salary and benefits, employment contracts, holidays, absence as well as further administrative support to the office.

Responsibilities:

* To provide general guidance and support with day to day HR queries and escalating more complex issues to the Managing Director

* Responsibility for maintenance and updating of the employee HR system and databases

* Responsible for the New Starters process - delivery of all administration with regard to contracts of employment, new starter documents, right to work checks

* Manage the employee exit process ensuring all leavers receive an exit interview and the adminstraion is completed in respect of all leavers

* Responsible for day to day advice and updating of the system on holidays, probation periods, salaries, benefits, absence

* Knowledge of basic employment legislation on procedures

* Working closely with departments, assisting managers in the facilitation of our policies and procedures

* Liaising with various Company departments, such as IT, Finance and Payroll specifically on the starter and leaver process

* Using the HR system to produce reports

* Monitor the probation review process and issuing the relevant probation outcome letter

* Review, maintain and update job descriptions in line with each new recruitment request

* To support the Group with policy and procedural updates

Required skills:

HR administration experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Adept in the use of Microsoft Office packages, such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Proficient using IT systems
