Long established, our client regionally operates seven stores throughout Southern England having recently acquired and re-furbished the above store to join their group's retail estate.

As an Independent Jeweller our client specialises in fine jewellery, jewellery by commission, jewellery repairs, and jewellery valuations.

Job Role:
The area of merchandise that they predominantly trade is antique, vintage, and modern jewellery as well as offering a jewellery buying service upon client request. Anticipating continued store growth within this great shopping destination it is a definite requirement to now invest even further through hiring an additional salesperson.

Your manner is always receptive of incoming sales enquiries, and you are a good listener able to guide clientele helpfully to the right products that deserve / suit their purchasing consideration. Team wise you are keen to add value to ensure collectively the store achieves its wider key trading performance indicators. Sales revenues are of course key as is the maintenance of store look / visual merchandising standards and continual customer / supplier or workshop communication; all are of matched importance.

As indicated the role is a part-time position with lots of opportunities for additional day(s) to cover holidays, staff absence, or assist with peak trading pressure points so any additional availability you may have could also be pleasingly capitalised upon.

Requirements:

It would be beneficial to possess an understanding of the sales, care and everyday sales protocols when working in-store within a High Street located Retail Jewellery business.

As the company is a fine jewellery business, knowledge of selling diamond jewellery or past industry recognised training either by a retailer in-house or a recognised JET (Jewellery Education Trust ) via the NAJ ( National Association of Jewellers ) would be without doubt an application lift. Those yet to be trade qualified if you can demonstrate a track record of representing when in-store five-star customer service be it in premium hospitality setting or a competing arena of luxury goods would be very welcome to also apply.

Individually you will need to be articulate, respectful when handling merchandise to ensure all remains pristine and be able to abide by the code of best operational store practice to ensure all within continue to be representative of the industry best.
