Our Sustainability and Society team maintain and develop a strategic approach to Environment, Social and Governance. We understand what is important to see from a sustainability and society agenda and why. Our team collaborates across our organisation so everyone can understand how they play a part and contribute to our position as a leader in responsible business.
Sage's Sustainability and Society Strategy has 3 key pillars - tackling digital inequality, tackling economic inequality and tackling the climate crisis. This role will ensure an ESG framework is in place to satisfy the needs of Sage's stakeholders. This role looks across the breadth of the strategy to set out our long term road-map and measure, report and communicate progress against it.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sustainability Senior Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Maintaining our Sustainability Policy by providing subject matter expertise for the development of competencies and training material
• Maintaining the accuracy of our sustainability data reporting platform to prepare annual reports and communications
• Engaging with global stakeholders to collect data to develop reporting and disclosure obligations through our performance dashboard
• Developing strategic and tactical connections for our ESG agenda to develop projects with an integrated, holistic approach
• Overseeing strategic road-maps, objectives and work-plans across regions and departments to ensure alignment with our strategy
• Engaging with cross-functional ESG teams to create policies and manage implementation with our Governance team

Requirements (Skills/Experience)
To be successful in this role you will:
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field required; post-graduate degree preferred
• Solid experience operating in a senior level sustainability or environmental management role
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
• Have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Show excellent data analysis and deductive reasoning skills
• Have meticulous attention to detail
• Show a thorough understanding of legislative and regulatory processes related to ESG reporting and disclosures
• Show solid experience in sustainability reporting
• Have membership of relevant professional body or demonstrate maintenance of professional qualifications and network
• Have a thorough understanding of GRI, SASB, and CDP

Flexible Working
The following flexible working patterns will work for this role
• Working remotely from home or any other work location (up to 5 days a week)
• Working flexible hours - flexing the times you work in the day
• Working 5 or 4 days a week
• Working 3 days a week - you can do this by working in a job share arrangement with a job share partner so the whole week is covered. When you apply for the role, we will do our best to find you a suitable partner if your application is successful
