James Fisher Defence is an acknowledged leader in the provision of submarine rescue solutions and marine engineering. Our expertise enables us to work in partnership with our customers to provide them with cost-effective solutions tailored to their precise requirements.

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team in Inchinnan. You will play a key role in fulfilling the company's Accounts Payable function ensuring all purchase invoices/credit card returns and personal expenses are accurately recorded, and payments comply with internal policies and processes.

Your day-to-day work will involve processing and managing company credit card returns and personal expense claim forms. You will also be involved in volume processing of supplier invoices and liaising with our internal procurement team to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies. You will provide support by responding to internal and external queries on invoices and purchase orders as well as preparing regular supplier statement reconciliations and contacting suppliers to resolve any invoicing or payment issues. There will also be some general administration duties such as filing and scanning documents for archiving.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of processing a high volume of credit card returns and personal expenses. You should also have a financial background in an Accounts Payable role and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. If you have experience of processing purchase invoice denominated in foreign currency, this would be particularly desirable.

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to tight deadlines. You will also be a good team player and be willing to offer your support and expertise to others.
