Job description

You will collaborate with Learning and Development (L&D) colleagues to establish customer needs to source, develop and design fit for purpose L&D products in a cost-effective manner in line with the L&D strategy and meeting organisational needs and requirements.

You will assist in developing innovative and effective learning solutions, procuring them through the correct channels, piloting them and evaluating them to ensure they meet DVSA’s needs.

You will also play a leading role in assisting DVSA’s L&D team with learning management system activities.

Don’t worry though, if you are a learning professional who doesn’t yet have e-learning design or learning management system experience; this is something that we are prepared to develop your capability in should you be successful.
 

Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Sourcing, designing, and developing learning solutions in conformance to DVSA requirements, procurement routes, legislative changes, and customer needs.

• Designing innovative eLearning products to support DVSA technical learning interventions

• Applying feedback from a range of sources to continuously improve L&D products and services

• Supporting with drafting of effective marketing material to support the roll-out of new L&D products across DVSA, including developing a communications plan

• Collaborating with procurement to source value for money solutions and contractors

• Support with setting up pilots for the delivery of new L&D products and services to ensure it will be fit for purpose

• Providing subject matter expertise to customers, colleagues, industry representatives and key stakeholders as required

• Assisting with evaluation to prove that DVSA learning interventions are effective and provide value for money for DVSA

• Supporting with the maintenance and hosting responsibilities of learning management activities

About you

You will bring practical experience and a sound understanding of L&D, the training and development product lifecycle. You will be able to apply this knowledge to identify training needs, upskill colleagues and stakeholders, and to support the design and delivery of innovative and effective learning solutions.

You are proactive and adaptable, reacting well to change and confident working under your own initiative.

You work well as part of a nationwide team, and you will currently work from home wherever possible. When it is safe to do so, you will be given sufficient notice for occasional travel and possible overnight stays for team meetings and to attend other key meetings when it is not possible to meet virtually through TEAMS.

You will be matrix managed to support different workstreams of the Solutions Team Managers within the Solutions Team. You will enjoy working collaboratively with a range of different people to deliver training solutions that meet the needs of the business.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with individuals and teams across the business, and the confidence to challenge, influence and gain buy-in from colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.

This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Strengths and Experience.

Interviews/assessments are likely to be held w/c 7th February 2022.

This interview could be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
