I am recruiting for a part time Accounts Assistant to join a future-focused company who supply products to companies throughout the UK. Initially 2 days a week, you will be responsible for the day to day processing of the accounts in preparation for the accountant. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, proficient in IT and be a team player. You will also be expected to work to tight deadlines and manage your own workload, so previous experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Keeping ledgers up to date
* Reconciling bank accounts
* Entering purchase invoices
* Reconciling supplier statements
* Entering sales invoices
* Credit Control
* Entering and matching purchase orders
* Supplier queries and remittances
* Exporting reports from bespoke system to Excel
* Assisting in other areas of the business as & when required
Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:
* 3+ years bookkeeping experience
* Proficient in IT - ideally with experience of involvement in implementing new systems
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to work to tight deadlines and manage own workload
* Accurate data entry
* Organised
* Previous experience with Xero is desirable
