This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join the Green Investment Group’s rapidly growing offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy.

Our Green Investment Group’s global offshore wind business is responsible for the successful management and delivery of a pipeline of 15+ GW of offshore wind projects, the origination of new opportunities and partnerships as well as the provision of asset management and advisory services to third party investors.

In this newly created role, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer of GIG’s global Offshore Wind business as an integral member of the overall Finance organisation managing the Tax function of the global offshore wind business.

You will have responsibility for the oversight of all Tax Compliance and Reporting activities of the business including those activities performed by our tax outsourced service providers. This will include the management of Transfer Pricing, Indirect Tax, Direct Tax, Employment Tax and other tax related aspects across multiple jurisdictions in close coordination with key stakeholders of the offshore wind business and those outsourced service providers. You will liaise with our Group Tax function ensuring that their reporting and compliance requirements are met.

You will use your strong relationship building skills to engage with and influence a variety of key stakeholders across the business and think strategically in order to identify process improvement opportunities and create and realise efficiencies on a regular basis.

You will have a CA (or equivalent) qualification with a experience overseeing the tax compliance of a large, complex organisation in-house or within an accountancy firm operating at a senior level. You will have outstanding communication skills and strong relationship management skills. A well-developed attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of corporate tax with capacity to appreciate the “big picture” role in a fast-paced and dynamic environment will hold you in good stead to be successful in this role.

If you have a growth mindset, are curious and have a passion for the role of renewables in the green transition, we want to hear from you.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
