We believe that our people are the key to Attingham's success. We have one of the largest volunteer teams across the National Trust and without them we wouldn't be able to achieve all that we do.

You'll provide day to day support for the Mansion volunteer team to champion service, inclusivity and flexibility. You'll deliver a fantastic experience to our visitors. You'll work closely with the Collections & House Manager and the Volunteering & Community Involvement Manager to evolve the Mansion volunteer model. You'll plan how we recruit and train new volunteers and organise development and training opportunities for the volunteer team.
You'll help us look after the operational task of opening the Mansion at Attingham to the public, working within a team of staff and volunteers to ensure we have the right people in the right place and that everyone has the tools they need to do their volunteer role with confidence. You'll lead by example and be an advocate for the volunteers, feeding back to senior leadership about training and development needs and opportunities.
You'll be a fantastic communicator, both verbally and written, ensuring consistency of messages between all departments as well as supporting with communication plans for the wider team.
We'd also like you to have the following skills and experience:
- Advocate for volunteers and volunteering at a busy property
- Team Player comfortable working across all areas and with a wide variety of people
- Customer Service skills that are second to none
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience communicating with a diverse range of people
