HR Assistant (Part time)
Flexible on Hours, preferable same times/days each week (25 hours)

Job Description
Establish, manage, and maintain an effective in-house HR provision.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with recruitment process
Arranging new start paperwork, preparing, and conducting induction
Ensure probationary reviews are conducted effectively and within required timescales
Supporting internal and external enquiries related to HR department
Maintain holiday records
Monitor staff sickness and absence
Support with management of employees bi-annual process
Provide clerical and admin support to HR officer
Assist with ensuring HR policies, procedures Employee Handbook are updated in line with statutory
Attend disciplinary, performance, grievance, and investigation meetings in the capacity of a note taker
Manage employee departures and conducting exit interviews
Support HR officer in delivering HR projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes
Forward payroll information to the Assistant Accountant
Maintain an awareness of employee issues
Health & Safety Awareness
Qualifications
CIPD qualified preferred (Level 3 minimum) but not essential
GCSE, or equivalent, in English and Maths Grade C or above
Experience
A good practical understanding of Employee Relations/Employment Law in a manufacturing environment
Experience in advising and managing grievance and disciplinary investigations
Knowledge of HR best practice, skills, and competencies
Attributes
An organised approach to work and with good prioritisation skills
High level of integrity
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Commercial awareness
Excellent attention to detail
Strong IT skills
