Project Planner/Controller

 

Would you like to directly impact the Maritime industry by supporting the delivery of exciting projects within the Product and Training Services (P&TS) team. We currently have a vacancy for a Project Planner/Controller at our sites in Portsmouth - Broad Oak, Cowes or Great Baddow with flexible working options available.

 

As a Project Planner/Controller, you will be work closely with a range of stakeholders to provide delivery and support for Effectors (Torpedoes), Sensors (Radars) and Training Services internationally. You will effectively use data to make informed decisions, you will assist with scheduling and cost forecasting and support in all aspects of project control.

 

This role will provide you with the opportunity to learn, develop and progress through a clear career path in a dedicated Project Control and Planning team.

 

Your main responsibilities as a Project Planner/Controller will involve:

 

  • Supporting the implementation of strategy for PM&C development in Line of Business or project.
  • Contributing to the development of PM&C strategy for Business Unit or Line of Business.
  • Controlling budgets and resources for Local team.
  • Impacting on business by influencing decisions through advice and counsel.
  • Understanding of the wider Project Management environment, and of developments and practices in the field.
  • Understanding and applying knowledge of your Line of Business or project.
  • Advanced PM&C reporting and Project scheduling.

 

Your skills and qualifications:

 

Essential

 

  • Previous experience working with monitoring and control
  • Experience using Data integrity skills
  • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages especially excel
  • Desirable

     

  • Project Management/Control qualification or relevant experience.

You will have great influencing skills and be able to motivate your peers. You will have excellent communication skills so that you can exchange complicated information.

 

 

Location: Portsmouth - Broad Oak, Cowes or Great Baddow with Flexible working options available

 

 

Salary: Circa 33K
