Fundraising and Project Management Lead

Theos is seeking a fundraiser with proven project management experience, to support the organisation while the Head of Research is on maternity leave, and develop Theos’ fundraising and project management in support of a growing team and increasingly complex organisational operations.

Hours: Part–time (0.6 FT)

Salary: £30–34k pro rata (fixed term, three days a week)

Duration: 12 months fixed term contract (March 2022–23)

The Role

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support and develop project management within the organisation, enabling the whole team to work to its full potential. Your focus here will be ensuring the timely production of research, working closely with the research team, the Acting Head of Research (who manages the research team and oversees the research programme as a whole), and the Head of Communications (who oversees the dissemination and communication of research outputs).

In addition, you will work with the Senior Leadership Team on the strategic development the fundraising programme, focusing on the preparation and submission of well–considered applications for research projects from trusts and grant–making organisations, and aiding the expansion of the existing supporter programme and the pursuit of new major donor relationships where appropriate.

About You

As Fundraising and Project Management Lead, you will have knowledge of the fundraising landscape, including direct knowledge of a range of grant-making trusts and foundations. You will bring an understanding of the needs of existing charitable supporters and some understanding of faith and society.

You will have experience of:

  • Bid-writing, securing fundraising from grant-making trusts and foundations and through supporter programmes
  • Managing and delivering a range of multiple and complex projects at once, on time and to budget
  • Networking, initiating and sustaining relationships of trust and respect
  • Successfully working in teams
  • Motivating and supporting staff
