Human Resources Advisor/Coordinator - Part Time (10am-3pm, 25 hours per week); Full Time salary range GBP31K - GBP35K (will be pro-rated)

Location - Our office is based in central Reading

We currently employ over 30 staff and have ambitious plans for growth which require significant levels of HR support.

Job Overview

The purpose of this newly created role will be to work closely with the CEO, Directors and Management Team, providing HR support and guidance on a wide range of issues. Additional HR support and guidance is provided by our outsourced HR Provider, The HR Dept. The ideal person will be Level 5 CIPD qualified (or Level 3 and working towards Level 5) and will have the ability to manage and oversee complex HR matters in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Company's internal recruitment initiatives, to include the updating of Job Descriptions, liaising with 3rd party recruiters, advertising vacancies, management and evaluation of Company's use of ability tests along with candidate management.
  • Support the Senior Management Team in designing and delivering effective people management strategies to support our continued growth .
  • Ensure that Managers are informed of any legal or statutory changes in the UK and that company policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
  • Assist in the investigation and handling of disciplinary and grievance matters in conjunction with senior staff.
  • Provide staff with support on HR issues.
  • Ensure the company's HR people management information system is up to date and accurate.
  • Employee benefits - liaising with benefits providers over provision of benefits provision is accurately reflected through payroll.
  • Generate monthly reports to include absence management and head count.
  • Manage onboarding and induction for all new hires
  • General ad hoc paperwork for new starters, leavers, employment changes etc.
  • To co-ordinate and manage all agreed HR projects.

Qualifications, Skills Experience:

  • Ideally educated to degree level, with Level 5 CIPD qualification (or Level 3 and working towards Level 5) and be fully conversant on all aspects of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience of talent acquisition and retention, especially recruitment and assessment is essential.
  • To be considered for this position applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as an HR Advisor and with the maturity and confidence to work largely on their own initiative
  • The ability to multi-task and manage a complex workload on a part time basis is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written must be of a high standard
  • Excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills
