Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced an Administrator who will work alongside the Management Team providing broad and consistent support across a range of office and administrative duties. The individual is expected to maintain positive relationships with all external and internal customers and act as a suitable 'face' of the Beckton brand.

What will the role look like?

  • Provide help and advice to ensure the correct lifting equipment/product is supplied Greeting internal and external guests, ensuring the sign in process is adhered too.
  • Develop, monitor and update information systems so data / information can be easily accessed by the team.
  • Typing memos, action logs, event invitations, photocopying and faxing where required and ensure all are carried out in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain an effective filing system, ensuring that filing is completed on a regular basis.
  • Responding to queries from internal and external customers and screen calls.
  • Use word, PowerPoint and basic excel to produce presentations, basic spreadsheets and documents for the team.
  • Responsible for meeting arrangements and room bookings.
  • Build and maintain effective and productive relationships with external suppliers and conference venues.
  • Responsible for building relationships with all Beckton team members, always demonstrating a can-do attitude and displaying a consistently positive outward manner.
  • Provide support for new starters in the form of IT equipment ordering, facilities introduction and general personal support.
  • Support with printing and distribution of reprographics as well as the H&S team and production of passes.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good time management and self-motivation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Inspire confidence to an external audience.
  • Proactive and professional approach.
  • Competent with Microsoft packages especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
