Serve Talent have partnered with a successful Engineering business to recruit a Part-Time Bookkeeper for their manufacturing facility based in Mildenhall, Suffolk.

The company themselves are very well established and specialise in the manufacture of low voltage distribution boards/switchboards, enclosed starters, control panels, motor control centres and purpose-built bespoke panels.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with the Managing Director and Commercial Director you'll be providing comprehensive accounts support to the business. Managing financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll, actively involved implementation of the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of payments, invoices, income, and receipts and entering data into accounting software and/or databases then filing hard copies. Paying vendor invoices, tracking bank account balances, credit control and VAT returns.

You will be involved with and support the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and be instrumental in the development of monthly financial reports including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets, developing monthly KPIs including monitoring and reporting to the senior management team.

Your skills/experience:

At least 3 years' experience in a similar role with a qualification such as AAT Level 4 or equivalent and expertise with accounting software. Experience of an ERP system would be advantageous, although not essential.

You'll also have a solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations, strong organisational, prioritising and planning skills and the ability to work to deadlines and excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
