Our client, an SME in the retail sector is looking for recruit an experienced Part-Time HR Manager for their hybrid role based in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire. The roles reports directly into the Finance Director, is accountable for an HR Administrator/Payroll administrator and is for 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review existing processes, policies and procedures to ensure they are compliant with legislation and supporting business performance and growth
  • Update the employee handbook
  • Create an HR calendar and supporting processes for the UK businesses
  • Timely completion and development of the monthly HR reporting dashboard.
  • Recruitment support to managers as required.
  • Identify learning & development needs and finding cost-effective ways to deliver against them.
  • Support payroll function and ensure compliance with any changes to employment law / working regulations.
  • Development of Payroll & HR Administrator.
  • HR Administration and other tasks as required (to be shared with Payroll & HR administrator)

  • Self-starter
  • Ability & desire to work with a wide variety of people
  • Highly organised - ability to prioritise, keep track of own workload and work to deadlines
  • Energetic with a can-do attitude, tenacity to see tasks and projects through to completion


There is the opportunity of working from home as well as the office . In return you will receive a salary of GBP35,000-GBP40,000 FTE (depending on experience).
