A Resourcing Manager is required for a permanent position with the Department for Transport (DfT) paying £38,654 and based in either Birmingham, Leeds or Swansea.

This Resourcing Manager post is an important leadership position within our team. Responsible for a small team of specialist recruiters who deliver a service you’d probably expect to find in a commercial organisation; focussing on using the latest tools and technologies to provide proactive sourcing solutions and providing a true market insight to hire the best people possible. This represents a genuine opportunity to develop your experience of working in a truly strategic role and will be a valuable step in any resourcing professional’s career.

DfT is the government department responsible for the UK transport network. We work with our agencies and partners to support the transport network, planning and investing in the infrastructure needed to keep the UK on the move.
 

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

• Leading a team to deliver a professional resourcing service which is aligned to business priorities.
• Maximising a return on investment by ensuring the most appropriate and cost-effective resourcing channels and methods are used.
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, focusing especially on both the quality and diversity of the candidates and improving the candidate and vacancy holder experience.
• Working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes and reduce timelines.

About You

To be successful as a Resourcing Manager with DfT, we will be looking for you to be able to evidence the following skills and experience:
• A demonstrable knowledge of a variety of tools and processes including direct sourcing, headhunting, inclusive attraction, application, sifting and assessment methodologies.
• You will be an excellent communicator and a strong leader with previous experience of managing, leading or developing others as resourcing professionals.
• Be able to evidence that you are adaptable to the challenges of a demanding and changing workload whilst being driven to deliver continuous improvement.
• Demonstrable relationship-building and influencing skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong links with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

Interviews are due to take place w/c 14th February
