An excellent opportunity for a part-qualified Financial Accountant to join an extremely successful, global manufacturing business based in Cheadle.
The business are looking for an ambitious and adaptable Financial Accountant to join their forward thinking finance function on a part-time basis
This is a 3 month temporary contract, with the view to be extended.
Hours: 9.00am to 5.00pm, 3 days a week (Mon - Wed).
As the Financial Accountant your responsibilities will be:
Assist in preparing monthly HMRC schedules, including EC Sales
Posting month end journals and assisting in preparing same
Assisting with the month end processes, including review and reporting on departmental cost centres as part of the management accounts
Assist in monthly analysis duties, including keeping phone and fuel costs up to date
Assist in preparation of budgets for all company-wide costs and for the overhead departments, as well as quarterly re-forecasting
Raising of manual invoices on a monthly/ ad hoc basis
Administration of the ONS reporting
Downloading and analysing monthly VAT data
Assisting with other/ ad hoc duties as and when required
Your skills and experience:
Experience in a similar role
Experience of using an ERP system (ideally SAP)
Thorough attention to details and very strong work ethic
Evidence of reconciliation responsibilities, e.g. banking / cashbook
Excel competence and confidence in use (no advanced skills required)
Positive problem-solving skills with a 'can do' attitude
Passionate about quality of work and strong sense of responsibility
