We are looking for a business analyst with an engineering background passionate about technology and financial markets to join our Quant Strat team in London; your role will consist in expanding our Index products offering, by defining and improving the governance framework in place, and helping the team to match the expected deadlines by producing tools to effectively monitor and manage the book of work and various pipelines. You will work closely with Quants and Quantitative Investment Strategy desk across multiple sites, managing and automating our daily Index implementation operational process.

Responsibilities

  • Work in global environment dealing with major group wide issues and differing regulatory requirements.
  • Improve proficiency of Index Calculation Agent control and operational process.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of approved process improvements.

 

You Will Have

  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written at all levels.
  • An interest to analyse data/process to identify issues or control gaps.
  • Experience of working as a business analyst on complex projects with global stakeholders in a banking environment; ability to represent and simplify data and calculation architectures and flows for a wide, not necessarily technical audience.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Excel, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to acquire knowledge, understand complex products and learn new skills.
  • Experience with systematic strategy development, derivatives modelling, and pricing are a plus
  • Previous experience in risk management, oversight, or monitoring function in the Financial Industry is a plus.

The Quant Strategy team applies specialist methods from mathematics, science and engineering to generate revenue. The focus is derivative valuation and risk, automated trading and execution, data-driven decision-making, and pushing new areas of growth.
