ETS Networks have responsibility for the availability, development and change delivery for Lloyds Banking Group's network and voice technologies. It provides data network services, LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi for all LBG UK and international sites. Included in this are over 40,000 telephony profiles for non call centre and manages the direct public telephony services. These services are supplied by various suppliers. In terms of critical services, these have long been, and will remain crucial to the organisation and its customers.

 

This is a stimulating role, providing an opportunity to lead a team of SMEs who are passionate about the Back Office Telephony and data services and technologies that serve Lloyds Banking Group colleagues, customers and partners.

 

Your accountabilities will include;

  • Maintaining operational knowledge of contracts related to your platform, including the levers that drive fluctuations in cost.

  • Effective review of all project proposals and proposed solutions , considering hardware, software, resources and their alignment with the agreed pricing structure.

  • Ensuring the inventory for your platform is accurate and that a robust process is in place to update changes, additions, and removals.

  • Seek and act on opportunities for improved management of direct and indirect costs.

  • Supply and demand evaluation coupled with effective platform capacity and wider resource planning.

  • Security of the platform and services, maintaining controls and addressing vulnerabilities.

  • The effective management of the team consistently driving development and excellence

  • Identification and management of risk relating to the platform, service, supplier and internal resource.

  • Effectively handle controllable costs contributing positively to Network Technology's financial targets.

 

About you;

  • Good understanding of data network services, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi and current voice telephony technologies and how each interact. Or, equivalent IT related experience.

  • Adept and experienced in leveraging vendor and supplier relationships.

  • Excellent communications skills (presentation, written and oral), collaborating confidently and effectively with diverse colleague sectors.

  • High level of drive and motivation, focusing energies on the things that really matter.

  • Ability to identify and help deliver process improvements.

  • Have organisational awareness to maintain self and team orientation.

  • Analytical skills reflecting purposeful curiosity and an appetite for understanding.

  • Confident in taking the initiative, organising self and own work schedule.

  • Networking and stakeholder management.

  • Able to absorb technical detail, identify relevant value and articulate in plain language.
