An exciting opportunity has emerged within our customer engagement and value generation marketing team to develop and deliver marketing strategies to drive growth within our activity. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of strategy development and an appetite for navigating ambiguity as we progress towards ambitious goals.


Location & Ways of Working:


Our team is based across Chester and Bristol therefore we'll need you to be based a commutable distance from one of these areas. We work in a hybrid model, splitting our time between the office and working from home.

 

Some of the activities you'll be involved in are:

 

  • Develop compelling marketing strategies that are grounded in customer insight and findings from current activity.

  • Effectively manage key relationships fully understanding their performance and targets, aligning strategies to achieve mutual objectives wherever possible.

  • Deliver activities on time, within budget and with the appropriate risk and legal approvals in what is a complex regulatory environment.

  • Nurture and develop the skills of more junior colleagues in the function.

  • Become a key part of the performance marketing culture driving continual change to achieve the efficient customer response.

  • Take the lead in planning and implementing structured tests, making the most of new capabilities as they emerge to further improve performance against plan.

 

Skills & experience we're looking for:

  • Strong influencing skills: You'll ideally have experience (agency/client side) working within or for a large, complicated and ideally regulated business.

  • Strategic thinking: proven experience developing marketing strategies to deliver growth along with the best customer outcomes.

  • Compelling presentation skills: excellent written and verbal presentation and storytelling skills with the ability to influence colleagues and external partners.

  • Self-motivated - You'll have a pragmatic, collaborative, and proactive approach to work with the ability to take ownership and exercise good judgement, with a prudent approach to risk. Effective prioritisation skills, can handle lots of moving parts at any given time.

  • Data-driven Marketing: Expert in data driven marketing, highly numerate and skilled in interpreting performance data, interrogating customer insight, planning tests, optimising campaigns, and making budget recommendations.

  • Line management: Can demonstrate success in developing and managing direct reports in line with expected colleague behaviours.

  • Channel experience: Strong experience across press, DM, email, SMS, social media and website channels.

  • Measurement experience: Experienced with the development and application of scientific measurement methodologies that prove the value of marketing activity
