A new opportunity has arisen to join the Customer Engagement & Value Generation team (part of the Chief Customer Office, within Retail), which focuses on deepening relationships with our customers through engagement, development of whole of customer propositions, and generating and converting demand through personalised, targeted communications.

We play a key role within CCO, focusing on how we deliver our customer relationship growth strategy through new propositions, services or comms to improve the customer experience and enhance engagement. We partner across the Retail Bank, Business Banking and Insurance, working with business and Transformation Value Streams to help us deliver for our customers.

As a Customer Propositions Manager, you'll help craft the strategy, development and delivery of customer propositions. This will include leading on the development of customer propositions based on deep customer insight and market awareness.

The team is currently spread out across CCO hubs in London, Edinburgh, Halifax and Bristol and predominantly works in a hybrid manner. Looking ahead, we expect key meetings, collaboration and workshops based in London.

Please note this vacancy is an 18 month Fixed Term opportunity.

We're looking for someone with experience of product or proposition development. As well as an appreciation of the importance of delivering business value and/or knowledge of customer experience and design principles!

Here are some of the skills we would like to see:

  • Understand business problems, identify underlying customer needs to be addressed and critically evaluate business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view

  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of the external environment e.g. competitors, to help to make sure new propositions are aligned to external trends

  • Have experience of building relationships with key partners across different business areas

  • Clear examples of successfully presenting ideas, issues and implications to senior audiences

  • Ability to lead on the delivery of initiatives, work independently and become comfortable with deputising for the senior manager when needed

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in teams passionate about proposition development, product management, customer strategy, innovation or design

  • Evidence of skills from multiple subject areas such as customer research, proposition design, data analysis, strategy development and problem solving

  • Experience of understanding the needs of customers and translating that into tangible opportunities for the business which drive value for the bank and our customers

  • Evidence of creating outputs suitable for an exec level audience, demonstrating your good judgement, and presentation skills

  • Evidence of working with cross-functional partners to deliver initiatives which make valuable contributions to our customers or the business

  • Desire to work in a fast paced, strategic and customer centric environment
