Chief People Office

Inmarsat’s Chief People Office (CPO) comprises a HR Business Partnering function who deliver people services with the support of the Centres of Excellence – Reward, Resourcing, HR Services & Systems, Organisational Effectiveness & Engagement & Communication and Real Estate & Facilities.  Our purpose is twofold; to drive business performance and enabling our people to be brilliant.

Job Description

Primary role purpose:

The HRIS function is a small but critical team that sits within the Chief People Office Business Unit. We support, develop and drive all corporate wide HR Systems initiatives. Our core HRIS platform is SuccessFactors and this sits at the heart of our HR Systems architecture, our applicant tracking system is SmartRecruiters and we have recently implemented ServiceNow HR Service Delivery. This role will be critical to the change request process and escalations for the HRIS team.  You will be working alongside a HRIS Business Analyst and reporting into the Senior HR Systems Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with system knowledge to develop skills in a rapidly growing area of HR and within a fast paced global environment.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing ServiceNow tickets for HRIS team. Acting upon and resolving all queries, quickly escalating any technical issues that need further investigation.
  • Taking solution design directions from HRIS team and configuring from documentation.
  • Project support and business as usual activities for managing change requests, documentation, testing, and deployment of new functionality and system enhancements.
  • Maintaining and managing knowledge content, facilitating the content reviews with all CPO centres of excellence, ensuring content is updated and accurate.
  • Work collaboratively and at pace with key stakeholders – HR teams, IT teams and business areas – to provide support, guidance and training.
  • Systems administration tasks, including bulk data imports, exports and changes, workflow design and creating business rules.
  • Working with third party vendors to suggest, develop and implement functionality to meet the business needs.
  • Designing and coordinating UAT activity, working with cross departmental teams.
  • Assisting in upgrades of all SaaS systems in CPO and developing new functionality.
  • Report development and ad-hoc reporting for HRIS team.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience and ability to work confidently with systems  
  • The ability to sensitively deal with highly confidential information and data
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and ultimately deliver in a busy environment
  • Experience of using Excel to produce reports and analyse data is essential
  • A keen and proactive approach, able to work on own initiative and unsupervised
  • Keen to work collaboratively and be an active team member
  • HR/Payroll/L&D/Recruitment administration experience highly beneficial 

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience working with HCM Systems (Ideally but not necessarily SuccessFactors)
  • Experience working in a HR shared service and as a HR administrator
  • Any other exposure to cloud based systems, ServiceNow etc
  • Experience of testing- creation and execution of test scripts 
  • Experience working in a customer focused environment
  • Exposure to Agile project management methodologies
