Job Description

The Trusted Executive is a leadership development organisation, specialising in helping leaders build purpose-led, high-performance cultures based on trust (www.trustedexecutive.com). Founded by the acclaimed author and executive coaching expert, Dr John Blakey, we are the pioneers in leadership development for businesses who put trust at the top of the agenda. Our ‘Nine Habits of Trust’ methodology has been developed through extensive academic research and has inspired more than 100,000 leaders across the globe. The habits collectively inspire results, relationships and reputation and are the cornerstone of our leadership development framework.

We require a part-time member recruitment executive (1-2 days per week) who can recruit board-level executives in small and mid-size organisations to join our Trusted Executive Fellowship Boards (https://trustedexecutive.com/journey-of-trust/community/). Each fellowship board has 8-12 members who come together each month to support and challenge each other to be the best leaders they can be through a programme of peer learning, expert speakers and coaching. Our ‘Nine Habits of Trust’ is at the heart of the fellowship board experience.

The key skills of this role are project management, relationship building, selling and the disciplined implementation of our proven recruitment model. The role is home-based and we expect the vast majority of client interaction to be virtual, so it requires the applicant to be comfortable and conversant with Teams/zoom and have a suitable home working environment. Note that The Trusted Executive Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation and we donate all our surplus to the Trusted Executive Charitable Foundation for onward distribution to a range of UK-based, Christian-led charities.

Objectives of this Role

  • Recruit six new members for our fellowship boards each quarter
  • Plan and deliver four virtual recruitment ‘open events’ each year supported by the delivery team
  • Use LinkedIn sales navigator and associated CRM tools to drive lead generation using Dr John Blakey’s profile as global thought leader, best-selling author and CEO coach
  • Attend virtual fellowship board meetings to build relationships with members and identify opportunities to add further value to their organisations through other Trusted Executive solutions
  • Conduct member selection conversations in line with the Trusted Executive’s proven model for member recruitment and supported by other members of the delivery team
  • Maintain comprehensive records in Hubspot CRM system relating to member contact and outcomes
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation of the fellowship board offering in consultation with other team members
  • Seek referrals from existing fellowship board members who may be excellent candidates for the future
  • Work in a small, high trust team, aligned with our values and supported by a virtual admin assistant
  • Refine and update existing marketing collateral for the fellowship boards so that these support the recruitment process effectively
  • Update relevant aspects of the sales pipeline with new member prospects and next steps on a bi-weekly basis
  • Attend occasional face to face fellowship board gatherings to meet contacts face to face e.g. Xmas lunch, client dinners

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong team player able to build high trust relationships and coordinate activities in a virtual and diverse team
  • Proven success as a recruiter, business development executive or sales campaign manager in a professional services environment
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence at board level in small and mid-size organisations
  • Solid experience with CRM software (HubSpot) and MS Office
  • Proven ability to adopt a disciplined and organised project management approach following an agreed sales model
  • Excellent time management skills to deliver this part-time role alongside other professional and personal commitments
  • Brave and bold to engage board-level contacts and negotiate conversations to a successful win/win conclusion
  • Alignment with our core values of ability, integrity and benevolence
  • Passionate about our purpose of creating a new standard of leadership defined by trustworthiness
  • Results-driven and motivated to achieve challenging growth targets via a tenacious and resilient mindset
  • Excellent listening and negotiation skills

Time Commitment

1.5-2 days per week with the flexibility to fit in with the client’s availability

Remuneration

This is a commission-based role with on-target earnings of £25k per year

Company

The Trusted Executive is a leadership development organisation, specialising in helping leaders build purpose-led, high-performance cultures based on trust (www.trustedexecutive.com). Founded by the acclaimed author and executive coaching expert, Dr John Blakey, we are the pioneers in leadership development for businesses who put trust at the top of the agenda

More than ever, people are turning to businesses they trust. Yet trust is difficult to build in an increasingly distrusting world. Leaders and businesses need to fundamentally change their behaviour to prioritise purpose, long-term thinking and positive societal impact, over short-term power and profit.

Our goal is to create a new standard of leadership defined by trustworthiness that every type of executive embraces and will make a meaningful and credible impact within companies across all sectors. Through a unique combination of commercial acumen and coaching expertise, our team strives to help executives drive change that is both sustainable and measurable.
