Supply Chain Analyst

Would you like to play a key role in delivering management reporting capability within Maritime Services? We currently have a vacancy for a Supply Chain Analyst at our site in Portsmouth.

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will be working across the supply chain and the ship repair organisation achieving the levels of performance required for a successful ship repair business. You will be working on several obligations reporting performance under the FMSP (Future Maritime Support Programme) contract and be looking to put in place Supply Chain Analytics to deliver management reporting capability.

This role will provide you with the ability to join a growing team shaping the role to make it your own, bring learning from elsewhere to shape our business for the future.

Your main responsibilities as a Supply Chain Analyst will involve:

    To report performance under the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) contract obligations. You will also be required to deliver the management reporting capability into the wider team.To establish Standard Monitoring and Performance tools for assessing and reporting Supply Chain Ship Repair performance to ensure contractual outputs are met. This will be using tools such as Tableau, SAP, Business Warehouse, Power BI and/or Access etc.To consolidate Supply Chain performance management information in support of Business Reviews heldTo identify the opportunity for Cost Improvements via analysis of current reporting tools and dashboards etc.To perform variance/trend analysis via Plan Do Check Act methodology to highlight and identify requirements for Continuous Improvement.To identify inconsistencies in the quality of data available via our ERP systems

Your skills and qualifications:

    Degree qualified or equivalent relevant experience

What we are looking for in you:

Essential:

    Proven experience of using tools such as Tableau, SAP, Business Warehouse, Power BI and/or Access etc. within your current roleProven experience of working within a data analytics, finance or supply chain role within FMCG, food & drink, pharmaceutical and/or defence etc. sectorsProven experience of complex data mining within a current/recent roleProven experience of implementing continuous improvement methodologies into roleDemonstrable stakeholder engagement skills, both internally and externallyProven experience of using Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and/or PowerPoint etc.
Desirable:

    Proven experience of demand management

c.£35k depending on experience
