- Receiving requisitions and demands, negotiating with suppliers, and processing Purchase Orders and Purchase Order amendments in accordance with Procurement processes and procedures, and the requirements of the businessUnderstanding the budget requirements for the Purchase Orders they are responsible for, and to support achievement of these requirements through effective negotiation with their supplierObtaining and communicating progress updates from suppliers in an effective manner, and understanding when to escalate issues to more senior members of staffMaintaining Supplier open order books and ensuring that correct and current data is maintained in the Oracle ERP systemProcessing supplier returns, ensuring these are actioned in a timely mannerUnderstand and supporting the implementation of corporate Procurement processes (Strategic Supplier Management, Sub-Contract Management, and Commodity Management) as appropriate to their area of responsibilitySupporting other members of the Procurement Team as required in their daily responsibilities
- Experience within a Procurement or similar commercial environmentStock knowledge / Supply Chain / inventory knowledge experienceSystems experience - Oracle ERP advantageous - strong Excel, and PowerPoint
- HNC/HND in Business Studies
You will have good communication skills being able to liaise with key stakeholder and those around you. You will effectively work in a team environment be organised and have good time management skills. You will be flexible in being able to travel to supplier site as and when required.
