Job Details

CCOR fulfils its purpose to deliver sustainable opportunities for customers, colleagues and shareholders through real time, data led oversight. We provide the business with meaningful and predictive insight to support the bank of the future.

CCOR is a fun and exciting place to work. We're a friendly, curious bunch. We love asking lots of questions, challenging existing ways of working and looking for ways to simplify things, so we can focus on what matters. We're passionate about risk management. We want to support our business partners to build a sustainable business with effective controls to minimise risk.

No two days in CCOR are the same. We engage right across the Group, advising on ways to improve how we keep the bank safe, delight our customers and Help Britain Prosper. This means we work closely as a collaborative team. We spend lots of time looking at different areas of the Bank and analysing data to help our teams and businesses.

We are a diverse group of people, who come from many diverse backgrounds. While we celebrate these differences, we share a common vision to offer new insight, support, and challenge to senior management.

It is no surprise then that we are looking for people who are up for challenge, have a thirst for ways to improve the business and themselves, love learning and are willing to be flexible. Your experience will be invaluable to us, whether it is already in a risk and compliance role, close to the customer in the business or in skills that support our future vision for the team. In return you can expect to get great development opportunities, be empowered to try new ways of working and an opportunity to work across many areas of the Bank.

Sound like your kind of place?

We have an opportunity to join the CCOR team responsible for providing oversight and independent challenge for the Finance Division. You will oversight risk decisions taken by Finance and report on the effectiveness of controls. We are looking for a trusted business partner who can build positive relationships with key stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • excellent communication skills (verbal and written), able to deliver complex/difficult messages with impact and manage balanced, collaborative debate
  • strong relationship management skills with the ability to constructively challenge and influence senior stakeholders and support the business in overcoming obstacles
  • extensive practical experience of One RCSA and sound knowledge of the risks and opportunities facing the Group Finance business
  • a passion for change and simplification with a curiosity for technology and data
  • a real excitement for collaboration and teamwork

People are our priority, with a focus on empowerment, career progression, learning & development. We recognise that to attract the best people we need to be flexible. Therefore, we encourage applications from people who may require flexible working arrangements. We are an equal opportunity employer and deeply value diversity within our organisation.

We are committed to the principles of agile working. We are particularly keen to receive applications from candidates interested in working the role as a job share. Your application will be considered jointly if you have an existing job share partner. You will still need to submit individual applications, but these should be aligned, and you should make it clear that you are applying on this basis. You will be invited to a joint interview. Our assessment will be based on whether you have the skills, experience, and demonstration of the Group's Values between you to meet the requirements of the role.

If you don't have an existing job share partner, take a look at the job share register to identify potential matches with whom you can apply. Also, visit the Group's job share microsite for further information about: the benefits and key characteristics of a successful job share partnership; a self-assessment form to assess whether job sharing is right for you; and guidance on how to approach the recruitment process successfully on a job share basis.

Company

We’re creating an organisation that attracts, retains and develops the best talent in the industry, and one that openly embraces diversity too. But more than that – we want to be a great place to work. We invest in our people, offering the best training and coaching, and by encouraging them to contribute to our leading corporate and social responsibility practices. We offer flexible working hours and days, under our Work Options scheme. This means that you can have a challenging and rewarding career, and still have an ideal work/life balance.

Flexible working is at the heart of our strategy. We’re re-imagining where, when, and how our people work, with new approaches designed to meet the ever-changing needs of customers and colleagues. These include increasing our use of remote-working tools and technology, as well as placing less reliance on a 9-to-5 mindset. For many of our office-based colleagues, we work in hybrid ways which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites.
