We are looking to grow our planning team and recruit a Planner to support our preconstruction teams. We are open to experience and depending on your existing knowledge would depend on where you would enter the planning team structure.
Reporting to the Head of Planning the main role of a Planner at Willmott Dixon is to deliver good quality programmes and associated work for projects during preconstruction and the project phase. This role will support our construction projects throughout East Midlands but mainly focusing initially Lincolnshire.

The key responsibilities:

* Ensuring you complete the planning process with a high degree of commercial acumen
* Complete site visits and site visit reports
* Prepare a tender planning report that highlights for the bid team key planning and programming elements of the project
* Preparation of informed and auditable tender programmes that utilise known outputs and sequences, or have agreement by liaison with subcontractors on anticipated periods
* Production of tender plans and programmes that are clear and understandable and demonstrate that a thorough and robust approach to planning has been adopted
* Take an active role in preparing and delivering project presentations at all required stages of procurement

* Approach to tender planning that actively seeks during preparation opportunities for innovation, value engineering and optioneering that is shared with the tender bid team
* Production of programme commentaries and planning method statement that articulate a comprehensive understanding of the way WD intend to approach and execute the project
* Constantly reinforce and deliver our customer first ethic

You:

* Ideally you will have onsite planning experience and be able to produce accurate programmes and logistics plans, using Astra Power Project
* Proven experience of accurate programming and sequencing from outputs
* An understanding of construction technology and methods including steel structures, concrete frames, timber frames etc.
* Be able to interpret drawings, specifications, and other construction information
* Have a good understanding of site requirements in respect of setting up, preliminaries and temporary works
