Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure a robust risk and control framework in place, managing the oversight and embedding of One Risk and Control Self-Assessment
  • Play a vital role in assessing and advising on risk, assisting Business Support Unit and Recoveries colleagues with risk identification and assessment and providing insightful analysis to the senior leaders.
  • Lead with the production of high quality Committee and Forum packs and associated governance requirements
  • Set strategy and direction for the timely and accurate production of high quality packs

 

We're looking for colleagues who have a proven track record in these key areas:

  • Detailed understanding of the Risk Management Framework and experience of One RCSA, or a strong desire to develop in this area;
  • A motivated self-starter, who is resilient and able to prioritise and multi-task across various activities, and as part of a small team;
  • Inquisitive mentality and attention to detail - natural drive to dig deeper and get to the core of an issue, rather than just accepting what might initially appear to be the case;
  • Producing clear and concise written material, making the complex simple to understand together with strong presentation skills;
  • Prioritising and delivering within multiple concurrent workstreams;
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills to challenge robustly but constructively; confidence to propose pragmatic solutions to mitigate risks;
  • Experience of leading teams, coaching and developing colleagues to deliver high quality results; and
  • Being a role model for a collaborative culture both within own team and wider business, in line with LBG behaviours and values.

 

Job Description:

▪ Manage relationships with key internal customers and act as their business partner, while typically using support teams to ensure client satisfaction.
▪ Roles at this level are implementing business plans to achieve results within a given area or department.
▪ Provides input into the development of compliance policies, develops underlying procedures and monitors their implementation for area of responsibility within the organisation.
▪ Makes authoritative technical and/or professional recommendations that have a significant short-term and long-term impact on the business.
▪ Takes responsibility for implementing formal development frameworks for a substantial department, while informally coaching and mentoring others throughout the organisation and investing in own personal development.
▪ Initiates, formulates and implements new business practices for own discipline, while managing the development and/or delivery of a significant element of the organisation's change management programme.
▪ Builds complex frameworks to fully assess the scope and context of short-term and long-term business needs.
▪ Develops functional or operational policies and participates in developing policy frameworks for area of responsibility or department, creating underlying procedures and monitoring their implementation within the organisation.
▪ Makes a significant improvement on short-term or long-term business performance by recommending authoritative technical and/or professional solutions.
▪ Monitors and manages a wide range of activities of a significant team ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements by liaising with all internal risk management functions while supporting the development and implementation of the organisation's compliance policy.
▪ Manages a significant portion of the organisation's risk management and/or control process, contributing to the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
▪ Develops tactical plans for optimisation of resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.
