Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financi??re Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. CFT is represented in over 28 countries, employing over 2,500 people.
Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Payroll Officer on a part time basis for a 1 year maternity cover in London.
Main responsibilities within the Payroll Officer position include:
- Processing monthly static data and adhoc payments through ADP:
- Starters & Leavers
- SMP, SPP, SSP, SAP
- Overtime
- Bonus/Commission/TPB s
- Bank Account changes
- Address updates
- Passport information
- Childcare vouchers
- Monthly currency conversion payments
- Pension enrolment and amendments
- Salary sacrifice pension payments
- BUPA, PHI and Group Life accruals processing
- Preparation of cheque/CHAPS/BACS payments
- Distribution of payslips to desk heads
- Preparing & distributing debit notes for salary costs across Tradition offices
- End of month account reconciliations for all nine entities using both Excel and the AS400 Accounting System
- Preparing and distributing various excel and ADP reports each month
- Monthly preparation and posting of Payroll Journal
- Providing the Accounts team with information to assist with the Bonus Accruals
- General filing/scanning
- Preparation of P11d s for tax year end
- Involvement in PSA process
- Keeping up to date with current and ongoing legislation changes
- Distribution of payments relating to attachments of earnings
- To respond and initiate communications with the HMRC, Contributions Agency and any other relevant body
- Working with and assisting HR, Finance and Head of Desks regarding all Payroll services
Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:
- Working knowledge of statutory regulations
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimal guidance if required
- Good communication skills (both written and oral).
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel/Word).
- ADP Freedom experience
- Basic accounting knowledge
