The role is responsible for the management of all Core Infrastructure providing shared services across Microsoft and Unix servers. Accountable for VMWare, servers, storage and shared tools, ensuring that they are maintained to an enterprise standard and fit for purpose to meet business demands.

Managing a team of high performing technology specialists, identifying training needs and creating career development plans to ensure we have the skills to manage our technologies to an enterprise level.
Accountable for the Enterprise VMWare clusters and underlying VxRail Infrastructure and storage technologies that provide Mission Critical services to business and customer systems
Transforming our on-premise VMWare environment into a fully automated Software Defined Data Centre
Enabling hybrid cloud capability to deliver a zero-downtime platform
Delivering a virtualised network fabric to enable Zero Trust security
Integrate our infrastructure management with DevSecOps technologies to bring robust automation to our infrastructure management
Establishing an enterprise class model for operating and maintaining our platforms
Architecting and implementing operating processes to ensure performance, capacity and availability are managed effectively to exceed business objectives.
Providing technical leadership, direction and strategy, aligned with business objectives across all technologies in scope for this team.
