The size of Macquarie Asset Management Real Assets European asset portfolio across its remaining [4] flagship funds (Macquarie European Infrastructure Partners or MEIFs), SuperCore and Macquarie Global Infrastructure Partners (MGIF) is expected to grow materially over the next [5] years, and further capital raising and deployment for MEIF7 has created the need for additional expertise and focus on asset performance and transformational change.

We are seeking an individual within the Investment Performance team to support senior Directors and asset leadership teams deliver material change management programs within portfolio companies. You will work closely with internal specialists, Operating Partners and external advisors to deliver on asset specific or portfolio wide outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Investment Performance, the role represents a dynamic opportunity for an experienced consultant or industry operator to be a leading member of the Investment Performance team in Real Assets in EMEA. You will work across a range of transformational value creation initiatives across revenue growth, operational performance improvement, data analytics and M&A.

Your responsibilities will require you to:

  • identify and lead transformational opportunities in a variety of infrastructure and renewables businesses
  • support transaction teams to develop transformation and transition plans
  • develop a diverse toolkit of techniques and methodologies to diagnose, evaluate and pursue improvement within asset business plans and operations
  • implement opportunities through the development and execution of a transformation plans tied to EBITDA improvement
  • drive long term operational improvements projects, in addition to short-term performance enhancement strategies
  • leverage internal and external resources to drive changes, focusing on key revenue and cost drivers such as people, procurement, operations, support services and finance reporting.
  • engage with stakeholders of a senior level to create leverage and drive change

You will have deep experience in industrials and across a variety of functional areas such as general management, growth strategy, operational excellence, and cost optimization strategies.

In particular, you will have experience in driving top and bottom-line growth, driving operational improvements projects, and balancing these with short-term performance enhancement strategies, managing major operating cost transformations or customer management, merger integrations and hold PE or infrastructure portfolio experience. Sector experience is advantageous though not essential.

Your ability to influence management teams to create leverage within companies and drive change, partnered with your ability to drive practical changes on the ground, leveraging your existing network of third party experts to support delivering outcomes and deploy analytics to improve reporting and analysis, will be vital in this role.
