We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Bid Manager to join our London & South team. With offices based in Weybridge, Dartford & Gatwick you will ideally need to be commutable to. Candidates should ideally be able to project manage the whole bid process for large and/or complex schemes, from launch to handover to the delivery team.

The main role of a Senior Bid Manager at Willmott Dixon is to lead the bid team /process in all aspects of the submission. It is essential for this role to produce high quality qualitative bid submissions on time within budget and assess technical and complex bid requirements, control and shape the bid proposals.

As you will be creating and leading on client presentations you will be providing creative ideas and initiatives into bids. You will liaise with the client team to effectively portray our service offering, whilst also effectively coordinate and lead bid team contributors input.

The Project

We`re actively looking to recruit a Senior Bid Manager for our London & South team. We offer hybrid working however you are required to be in one of our offices at least 3 days a week (Gatwick, Dartford or Weybridge).

This particular opportunity is working closely with our clients to ensure the contract is secured in a timely and cost effective manner. Working on the pre con team you will be responsible for managing 1 to 2 projects at a time that could be from a residential or commercial sector.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential Criteria

  • You will be an experienced Bid Manager within the construction sector
  • Experience of leading a bid team
  • Leadership in client team meetings
  • Experience of complex technical schemes
  • Experience of dealing with diverse technical output
  • Experience of creating and writing effective bid submissions
  • Excellent resource planning skills
  • Full membership of relevant professional body
  • Experience in project management
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification

Desirable Criteria

  • Full membership of secondary technical professional body
  • You will be an experienced Bid Manager working for a main contractor
