Continuing our extensive transformation programme, we're redefining what a bank is from the inside out. Our technology, our culture, and our mind-set is changing to craft a true engineering-led organisation.

The role

Technology is at the heart of our business and Enterprise Architecture is at the heart of technology leadership - it is an integral part of our corporate strategy. Aligning with the business and group technology strategy, you'll be accountable for defining the target architecture as well as the roadmaps to achieve it as well as ultimately accountable for all the architecture decisions for the area you support. In your role you'll have an opportunity to engage with senior leaders (including CxO) from both the business and IT advising them on technology strategy and partnering with them to define the right solutions to meet the needs of their rapidly changing business. This needs to balance the needs of the current with the needs of the transformed future trying to minimise technical debt whilst enabling the business outcomes.

Given the transformation journey we're about to embark on, there has never been a more exciting and impactful time to join the Enterprise Architecture team as we redefine the future of the Group.

What we'd like to see from you:

  • A broad understanding of software, infrastructure, integration, security and data aspects of platform architectures with the ability to set and challenge direction across these domains as required.

  • Ability to credibly talk about their strategy and how your strategy enables their future requirements.

  • A good understanding of the benefits of Enterprise Architecture and ability to articulate this to stakeholders.

  • Ability to communicate equally well with business and technological communities at all levels including CxO.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • A genuine passion to do the right thing.

  • Strong influencing skills.

  • Ability to logically decompose complex problems.

  • A strong collaborator able to work in and lead virtual teams to a common goal.

Desirable skills

  • A good understanding of market trends.

Together we make it possible!
