Claims Advisor required for scaling Insurtech (Hybrid Working)

3 days in the office and 2 days working from home (flexible start/finish times)


Join our Leeds Claims team, highly experienced function, and growing department in our UK Motor Insurance business. The Claims business is critical in ensuring we provide our customers with the most efficient and professional service. 

As a Claims Advisor you’ll provide a quality, front line, focused claims service that supports the overall delivery of the department. Dealing with a range of situations, our customers will look to you to work quickly to provide them with support and a high-quality service. 


We are looking for an A-Level school/college leaver wanting to begin their career within the insurance industry. The is an entry level role so no experience is required as full training will be given.


What excites you?
The purpose of the role is to setup new motor insurance claims on the system and ensure accurate and timely resolution of motor claims telephone enquiries. You will have a commitment to want to achieve and continually exceed goals and KPIs. With an inquisitive mind and an ability to creatively problem solve you will approach claims logically to determine key issues and strategies Liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders and third-party representatives, excellent communication skills are essential.  In an ever changing and adapting market you will have an eagerness to learn new skills to successfully combat fraudsters and their tactics.


What you’ll be doing:
• Setting claims up on Landscape from notifications sent via FNOL provider
• Validating policies/checking indemnity
• Calling clients to gain further information when needed
• Instructing various suppliers to assist in dealing with claims
• Answer the telephone within agreed service standards
• Answer the call with the recognised company salutation and identification
• Ensure that the DPA rules are followed
• Deal with the call within your level of expertise
• Seek help if you are unsure of your facts
• Pass call to a senior member of staff if it becomes a complaint
• Log calls on memo screen with sufficient information for others to follow
• Deal with post items as required
• Ensure any actions/promises are followed through
• Ensure caller understands what or they need to do next
• Ensure the caller has the correct details for further contact should it be necessary
• Payment of fees bordereaux
• The Job holder will do all tasks requested within his/her level of skill and ability Data Protection
• To request, record and maintain necessary customer data accurately on all relevant
