Job Details

Job Title: Project Lead (PM Governance & Assurance)

Location: Barrow-Hybrid working available

Salary: £42,315+ depending on skills and experience

Referral Scheme Bonus: £500

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the coordination of audit reporting and management, action and investigation reporting and management, Process Improvement Requests (PIRs) and document reviews for all functions across the Dreadnought programme
  • Undertaking audits on the Dreadnought programme to provide assurance of effective operation and compliance to process, standards and procedures
  • Engaging with record owners to identify new records and ensure the currency of existing records on the Dreadnought Project Integration Record Retention Schedule (RRS)
  • Being the escalation point of contact for the central Project Management Governance team in relation to Project Management documentation reviews, process confirmation reviews and Airsweb action status on the Dreadnought programme
  • Leading the management of non-conformance and corrective action resolution with key stakeholders and process owners, action tracking and reporting and the production of Management Information to support the Programme Director's monthly review
  • Attending all cross function and business level collaborative audit and assurance meetings representing the Dreadnought programme

Your skills and experiences:

Essential -

  • Project Management professional with a good understanding of the Project Management disciplines
  • Experience and understanding of managing projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management governance and assurance
  • APM qualification is essential or equivalent (Prince2 or MSP)

Desirable-

  • Defence Sector experience
  • Experience of working on large complex programme
  • Qualified Lead Auditor

The Submarine team:

his is a new and exciting position on our Dreadnought programme and you will have the opportunity to shape this role whilst also developing yourself. You will be part of a team that is responsible for project management governance and assurance on the Dreadnought programme, ensuring that the programme follows project management processes and procedures at a corporate, business and programme level. This role will be within the assurance workstream of the team.

You will develop a deep knowledge of the Dreadnought programme and will also work with a wide range of stakeholders so the opportunity to develop knowledge and relationships gives this role holder fantastic career development opportunities within the programme or wider business.
