We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Community Connector to join our OUTSTANDING Supported Living team.

Guinness Care is a charitable organisation, we support adults with learning disabilities achieve their full potential within a supported living environment, whilst meeting their everyday needs.

 As a Community Connector, you will be responsible for:

  • Building professional relationships with external agencies within the community to develop opportunities for volunteering, education/training, employment, companionship and health and wellbeing activities for our customers
  • Contribute to reviews of customer care/support plans to ensure our customers have the greatest possible control over their own life
  • Research and identify support services and activities within the local community for our customers
  • Work in partnership with our customers to encourage social integration enabling them to lead meaningful, purposeful lives by promoting resilience, peer support, self-care and support with all areas of development
  • Collaborate with our Team Managers in order to work effectively across all of our Supported Living services within Devon to implement a strategy personalised to each scheme to successfully meet individual customer needs

We are looking for a Community Connector who can demonstrate our values and behaviours and share our passion for making a difference to people’s lives. You do not need to have previous care experience for this role, but you must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, an A-Level qualification or equivalent, and a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle.

The hours worked will be by arrangement over 5 days, but you will need to have flexibility to fit in with our customers. You may at times be required to work outside of your normal working hours including evenings and weekends if needed.
