Job Details

An opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic HR professional to join Macquarie as a HR Advisor in London, supporting Macquarie Asset Management across EMEA.

The role will support our HR Business Partners who look after all Macquarie Asset Management staff (approx. 700) across EMEA.  In the role you will have responsibilities associated with a broad range of advisory and generalist activities, including mobility, talent management, learning and development, employee relations and HR operations.  This is an excellent career move for anyone wanting to grow their HR skills within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

You will have prior experience working with staff across all levels and will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.  You will have exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills coupled with a keen interest in HR. You will have an ability to work as part of a team and independently, whilst managing competing priorities with a high degree of organisation and self-direction. You will also have the confidence to think differently and be open to learning in a fast paced and changing environment. You will ideally have at least 24 months’ experience in a HR role in a financial or professional services environment.

The Human Resources Division supports Macquarie's businesses by seeking to attract, recruit, reward and retain the best people. The division provides a range of global consulting and operational expertise across the organisation that is aligned with business strategy.

We facilitate a range of flexible working arrangements within our teams. Talk to us about what flexibility may be available.

Company

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
