Job Description and Specification
Job Title: Production Administrator
Reporting to: Operations and Plant Manager
Reports: None
Job Overview This is a new role within the operations team designed to provide critical support. The role will be responsible for undertaking the administration activities around prospective orders, order processing and close out payments/despatches of completed orders.
As the business grows it is expected that this role will evolve and develop, providing an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities • Create works orders for internally manufactured parts and assemblies including contract work and stock
• Ensure ERP/MRP is updated ensuring full BOM s and routings are in place and work orders are opened and closed in a timely manner.
• Produce detailed weekly and monthly production plans for all manufacturing areas.
• Provide cover for the production planner as and when required
• To work methodically and keep all administration records organised and up to date.
• Generates regularly scheduled reports and special reports as requested.
Provide other departmental support as requested by immediate supervisor.
• May perform duties to support manufacturing, quality testing or engineering operations as required.
• Performs other general administrative duties including but not limited to computer work, photocopying, filing, answering telephones, and compiling manufacturing operations program materials.
• Managing KPI database and production charts
• Maintain and update T&A system and process employee timesheets
• Generate and maintain Excel reports and spreadsheets.
• Managing the maintenance of office and factory equipment.
• Organizing events, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements.
• Perform other administrative duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the factory office
Skills Essential • Sales administration process understanding (Order entry to despatch). • Proficiency of using an ERP system. • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Well organised and confident with the ability to get things done and work to deadlines • Positive attitude and comfortable dealing with clients and suppliers Desirable • High proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Qualifications • Business Administration NVQ Level 3 • Business Administration Degree (desirable)
Experience • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment (Essential)
