Our Engineering team is looking for Modern Workplace Engineers who understand what a modern workplace solution looks like, are motivated by challenging the status quo and have a track record for delivering innovative change into organisations.

We're responsible for technical change to the colleague services and strategic direction across:

  • Collaboration & Unified Comms (M365 Productivity Voice & Video)

  • Azure core Security services

  • Device, Application & Data Management

  • Process Automation

  • Active Directory/Identity & Access Mgt

  • Application & Desktop Virtualisation

  • Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IoT)

What will you be doing?

As one of our Workplace Engineering Infrastructure Engineers you'll develop the skills to design, develop and test infrastructure solutions for the whole of LBG. You would be part of a team involved in the development of these solutions to drive real business benefit. You'll be a standout colleague with a desire to embrace and introduce modern ways of thinking towards technology. Additionally you'll demonstrate hands on technical ability whilst building workplace technology solutions based on business requirements. You'll be used to operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work across different technologies and virtual teams; working closely in collaboration with your team.

So, what about your personal skills?

You'll develop skills in design and development of solutions using technology, and we're looking for people with varying abilities from some of the following:

  • Developing, designing and testing enterprise solutions using Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Office 365 Productivity and Collaboration Tooling e.g. Teams, Power Platform and emerging technologies.

  • A self-starter who takes ownership, collaborates with others, and has the vision to not be constrained by how technology works today

  • Work as part of a team to develop new solutions to meet business requirements where no solutions currently exist

  • Some experience in using scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell) with enterprise solutions but with a desire to learn more

  • Some knowledge of modern security controls

  • Some knowledge of cloud providers

  • Some experience of hybrid working; including video conferencing and digital whiteboards
