Engineering Delivery Manager

Lloyds Banking Group, Insurance & Wealth Transformation

Location: Edinburgh based, hybrid working with 2 days per month in the office.

Salary & Benefits: £52,910 to £66,140 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

About the Role:

  • You'll lead teams in technical deliveries and engineering improvements utilising efficient agile methodologies.
  • Effectively prioritise and evaluate your own workload. Fulfilling immediate tactical requirements whilst progressing other strategic work items to completion. Whilst you're supporting and empowering your team to self-organise to execute deliveries and technical improvements
  • Own the technical, risk, people, and development agenda to maintain and enhance your application platforms in support of what is best for our diverse customer journeys
  • Build and maintain effective, collaborative and trust based working relationships, inside and outside of your team
  • Utilise your facilitation and collaboration skills, with the ability to being out the best in teams
  • Understand business problems and technical challenges, with strong stakeholder management to set priorities to mitigate or overcome challenges

What you'll Bring:

  • An extensive and applied understanding of workflow management tools (Jira / Azure DevOps) and the utilisation of metrics to develop and maintain efficiency
  • A background in leading software development teams, ideally involving Java and NodeJS technologies and a knowledge of Dev Ops strategies
  • Demonstrable experience of delivery of multiple and varied changes from project initiation through to implementation and post-live support
  • Experience of applying the group's project management methodologies and associated governance for change delivery
  • Demonstrate budgetary accountability and understanding of financial control
  • Have experience of producing plans in varying formats and levels for difference groups
  • Input into regular status reporting highlighting successes and issues
  • Able to understand sophisticated technical issues and communicate these
