As a key member of the Finance Team and working closely with the Director of Finance, this role has a vital and central part to play in ensuring the good financial health of the Charity.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

To oversee the integrity of the data within the accounting system, including reconciliation of control accounts.
To work alongside the Finance Officer to ensure all income and expenditure is recorded into the charity s accounts programme.
To assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, regular and ad hoc financial reports including reporting on variances versus budget/forecast.
To support programme managers to understand their budgets and progress against them throughout the year.
To work closely with programme managers to help develop good financial practice and the integration of the finance function through the organisation.
To assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of year end reporting and audit.
To review the Foundation s cashflow and provide regular forecasts.
Support the Director of Finance, colleagues and executives with projects and tasks when required.

Essential Skills and Experience include:

A recognised financial qualification or be working towards a qualification. eg ACCA, CIMA.
Proven finance and accountancy experience, especially of monthly management accounts, cashflow and account reconciliations.
Be comfortable with standard accounting packages and preferably have a knowledge of NAV Business Central.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel & Word.

We are looking for someone who has a flexible mindset with the ability to work to monthly deadlines. Someone who can focus on cost conscious outcomes and be an excellent problem solver with great communication skills, and work as part of a team offering support where necessary.
