Job Details

We are looking for an Assistant Planner to join us here at Taylor Wimpey. You will assist and lead on the preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications including S106 agreements and viability models; managing community engagement on planning applications. Previous experience in a planning role is not essential but a passion for the planning system and process is required. 

What you will do:

  • Select and manage consultants in the preparation of planning applications and appeals
  • Secure planning approval for well-designed schemes
  • Produce and manage budgets and professional fees
  • Engage with all parts of the business to ensure planning applications are optimised and meet the needs of our customers and all areas of the business
  • Understand the importance of viability in the negotiation and delivery of development 

What you will have:

  • A full driving license
  • Experience or desire to work in a project environment, delivering projects on time, within scope and budget
  • Proven experience of working with multiple stakeholders 
  • Experience of working in a team and collaborating with various departments

To be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers’ licence.
