We currently have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Finance Systems Analyst to provide key support to both the business and the Finance team on our billing and time keeping system, Scoro.  This will include checking signed engagement letters, ensuring accurate project set ups in the system, amendments to projects and maintaining key information in the system.  This role has the additional responsibility to train all new employees to use the system.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Key business contact and support for Scoro system
  • Create and maintain project records, ensuring information transferred into Scoro is in line with that on the signed engagement letters.  Questions and communication with business leads maintained throughout to ensure initial set up is accurate
  • Ensure the correct billing information is transferred from engagement letters to Scoro – such as names, addresses & billing profiles (including VAT information).
  • Maintaining billing information in the Scoro system and making changes where required.
  • Key contact between Scoro system support, the business and Finance team. This includes documenting improvements required and highlighting required system improvements at the monthly meeting with Scoro system support
  • Running inductions and training new employees
  • Monthly recurring tasks within Scoro system including rolling forward quarterly retainers, closing prior retainers, time management, checking closed projects and maintaining dashboards
  • Setting up and maintaining employee details in the system
  • Working with Finance and the wider business to recognise and highlight potential improvements to the Scoro system. Including assisting with troubleshooting and testing new processes in Scoro

The role currently has a UK remit, although this may extend to our global offices in due course.

Successful candidates will have:

  • An A level or equivalent education, ideally with a focus on Maths, IT or science-based subjects
  • Experience in a similar scale business preferably with in professional services, finance or legal companies
  • Experience of managing timesheets and billing processes
  • High level of attention to detail, methodical and thorough Strong excel skills Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Awareness of global VAT rules desirable
  • Prior use of Scoro or other CRM time recording system desirable
  • Comfortable working in a multi-currency environment.
  • Awareness of financial control risks and ability to recognise and safeguard against these
  • Educated to A level or equivalent, ideally with a focus on Maths, IT or science-based subjects
  • IT system information management skills

Given the technical nature of the work we do, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and high attention-to-detail are paramount.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is a strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude and happy to get involved. We are a small team and would suit someone who is hands on and comfortable with changing priorities.  Some responsibilities are both business critical and time critical, so it is essential that these are carried out correctly and in the specified time frame. This role will require flexibility and ability to work with all levels of the business.
