An exciting opportunity to join us in the Security Operations Risk, Control and Audit team role as our SOX Manager. You'll play a vital role in supporting the business on SOX methodology, business process and IT controls. Please note that our team do not perform the testing.

We lead various assurance and risk activity across this important function including:

  • Internal and external audits, collaborating closely with Finance SOX and our external auditors.

  • Supporting SOx control testing and liaising with the broader functions.

  • Handling the IT SOX risk landscape.

  • Provide insightful SOX information, mentorship, and advice to support the wider business.

What you'll be doing…

  • Customer management and influencing control owners, senior managers, and external auditors.

  • Advise senior management and control owners on SOX methodology and industry best practice.

  • Provide technical guidance and advice for remediation of internal control gaps.

  • Provide training to control owners.

  • Ensure that controls are properly designed for all in-scope processes.

  • Support SOX testing and remediation.

  • Track and monitor overall SOX assessment status for monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management.

  • Ensure all SOX deliverables and deadlines are met.

About you…

  • Demonstrable years experience of external audit, internal audit, or IT risk.

  • Big 4, Top 10 audit experience or have worked in another financial institution.

  • Extensive experience of IT SOX.

  • Strong written and inter-personal skills.

  • Experience in a broad range of sectors but experience of the Technology or Banking industry is advantageous.

  • Proven track record of managing audits.

  • ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA qualification is highly desirable.

You'll possess excellent partner management skills. We'll need you to possess a strong communication toolkit to work with wider technical and non-technical people, senior internal customers, and external auditors. You'll also have extensive experience in SOX auditing practices within finance IT applications and the underlying infrastructure.
