Location: Wakefield
Hours of work: 20 - 25hrs (Monday to Friday)

Role summary:
We are looking for a professional accountant (no ordinary one!), with bags of confidence who wants to take their career to the next level. The role is based within a very busy and exciting Corporate Finance and Training company located in Wakefield.
The opportunity for personal development is substantial, as the business is growing rapidly. We would anticipate developing this role to embrace client facing activity in the future.
Duties and responsibilities:
Support the MD and CEO in the following areas:
Reviewing and helping to prepare the financial elements of client/project documentation, such as company sales, seeking investment and company valuations
Assisting in other project work as required
Financial modeling
Using sage for monthly bookkeeping and producing quarterly VAT returns
Liaise on year end accounts
Run monthly staff expenses
Produce the annual budget
Manage the debtors and creditors and general bookkeeping process and bank reconciliation PAYE and VAT
Other adhoc tasks
Person requirements:
Newly or part qualified accountant CIMA ACCA or similar
Must have practical bookkeeping and systems implementation, ideally sage or the like
Must be articulate and have a confident manner
The person must be able to act autonomously and be competent and calm under pressure
Must be a team player
Willing to turn their hand to multiple tasks
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and planning skills
Hard working and a positive can-do attitude
Have a friendly and professional telephone manner
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel
