Feeling fab!

Why am I so thrilled? Am I really that organised? Or is it just an illusion I get each time I manage to get on top of my housework having been home for a rest? Of course it's an illusion. By this time in a fortnight it will all be back to square one - the ironing will be piled up, the upstairs will need dusting and I will be back to my usual exhausted self. And at work, I will be juggling to get all of my work done whilst waiting for approval for outstanding jobs from overworked line managers. We working mums lurch from holiday to holiday using our time to catch up on all of the outstanding housework, cupboard organising and cookery tasks we never seem to have time for when we are at work. This holiday I have had to balance sorting out and emptying a room ready for our extension to be added, with organising a birthday party and trying to catch up with my studying. But at least I am past the morning sickness and general ickyness now and into the trimester of well-being! And what is that all about? Yes I do have more energy although once I have had a spurt of energy the urge to sit down is interspersed with the need to down Gaviscon to take away the heartburn! But where is the fantastically clear skin and the beautiful flowing locks? Yet another illusion like the one that I will keep on top of all of my juggling. Still, it won't be long before I go on maternity leave and then, as we all know I will then have all of the time in the world to do everything I couldn't do before!
