Third of mums haven’t started Christmas preparations yet

Almost a third of working mums have not started preparing for Christmas yet, according to a workingmums poll.
Thirty-two per cent haven’t had time to start yet. Thirty-four per cent have only just started, while 32% are well ahead of the game and say they started preparing ages ago.
The poll of over 600 working mums shows many are so rushed off their feet that they leave it all to the last minute to pull everything together.
Many mums say they prefer to shop online to avoid the crowds. One said: “I’m gathering bits and pieces through the year. Being a busy working mum I like to have everything turn up at the door rather than brave the Christmas shopping crush in the towns!”
Others recommend doing the shopping early to get the best bargains. “I find the whole Christmas thing exhausting if you wait too late,” she says. “Also I start early to get the bargains on good brand goods, especially toys for the kids – it is amazing just how much money you can save by shopping earlier.”
