Workingmums LIVE heads to Manchester
Thousands of working mums are looking for the perfect work life balance, be that in a flexible job or working for themselves. A new event coming to Manchester this November aims to bring them face to face with the employers and support organisations who can help.
Workingmums LIVE Manchester is a free one-stop shop for everything to do with work life balance.
The event, the first of its kind in Manchester, will be held at The Lowry Hotel on 8th November and will bring together experienced professional women looking to have some work life balance with employers and franchise businesses who are keen to benefit from their skills.
Among the exhibitors already signed up are Everything Everywhere, Nationwide, Farnell, Hillarys Blinds, The Pampered Chef, Hobbs and H&M.
Also on offer are interactive seminars on return to work, working for yourself [sponsored by freelance group PCG] and how to find a truly flexible job. There will be support and advice from childcare experts, CV advisors and organisations offering re-training.
Speakers include Katerina Gould a top executive coach and career consultant who specialises in supporting people through transitions in their careers and Andrea Kilpatrick, a coach who has worked with a large range of individuals in her own business, as an Associate with leading coaching consultancies and through working for many years as a Coach with London Business School.
Gillian Nissim, founder of Workingmums.co.uk, said: “We are delighted to be launching this event in Manchester which will suggest different ways working parents can achieve work life balance, whether that is through setting up their own business or becoming a franchisee or putting experienced professionals in direct contact with family friendly employers who offer a range of flexible work options, from homeworking to flexi hours and part-time roles. Our London event was a great success and we hope to take the event around the country, making the strong business case for flexible working.”
Children are welcome – the first Workingmums LIVE event in London this spring was choc-a-block with buggies and toddlers!
